Sure, she may be best-known for her good-time, upbeat single “Whip My Hair,” but Willow Smith's music is about to take a much deeper turn.

The 10-year-old progeny of Will and Jada Smith recently wrote her very first song on her own, titled “The Epiphany,” in which she deals with a choice between dancing and singing.

Willow put together a mini-documentary video of her songwriting process coupled with some ballet practice sessions to show the dualistic nature of her thinking.

And while she’s in the studio with several older and more experienced producers, Willow is clearly the one casting the creative and musical direction- and it’s impressive!
