Just announced tonight (May 2), Robert Pattinson is slated to star in the new psychological thriller “Mission: Blacklist.”

Directed by Jean-Stephane Sauvaire, this film is based on the novel “Mission: Black List #1” by Eric Maddox and Davin Seay, which tells the true story of the man behind the capture of Saddam Hussein.

Erik Jendresen is producing the film along with Kevin Waller and Ross M. Dinerstein. Jendresen acted as a writer-supervising producer on HBO’s “Band of Brothers” and wrote the screenplay adapted from the novel.

Embankment Films will sell the film at the next Cannes Film Market.
