Roseanne Barr Getting Roasted on Comedy Central » Gossip - Comedy Central announced that their next roastee will be the one and only Roseanne Barr. The roast will tape on August 4 and will premier on August 12 at 10 p.m. on, of course, Comedy Central.

One of the roasters will be Jane Lynch, who said that,

I’ve long fantasized of ripping Roseanne Barr a new one. But because I don’t have the cajones to say anything offensive to her face, I will be hosting the proceedings.

Ok, boooo, Jane Lynch will be the host of the roast, which means she will say mildly funny things while the show vets say the dirty things.

Roseanne doesn’t seem to care though, she’s excited about her assigned host.


Comedy Central hasn’t announced which comedians will participate in the roast but it’s likely we will see some of the regulars like Gilbert Gottfried, Jeff Ross, and Lisa Lampanelli, who never pass up an opportunity at ripping into another, more successful, celeb.
