Michael Phelps & Gabby Douglas Win Big at London's Olympic Games » Gossip - While they both had already garnered hardware for themselves and their homeland of the United States, Michael Phelps and Gabby Douglas had grander hopes when it comes to winning medals at London's 2012 Olympic Summer Games.
Fresh off of capturing gold in the Team Final earlier in the week, 16-year-old Miss Douglas eked out another first place finish in the Individual Women's All-Around Gymnastics Final on Thursday night (August 2).
The 4'11" Virginia Beach native's score of 62.232 was enough to earn her a second gold - as she edged out Russia's Victoria Komova by 0.259 points.
Meanwhile, Phelps - who recently became the most decorated U.S. Olympian ever - added to his staggering totals by topping teammate Ryan Lochte in the Men's 200m Individual Medley final.
The 27-year-old swimming sensation's gold-clenching performance made for his twentieth Olympic Games medal, of which he told press, "Cool to add to my resume."
Gracious in defeat, Lochte said, "Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't. But overall, I can't be too disappointed. I am coming home to my country with five Olympic medals."
